A global multi-stakeholder collaboration to accelerate sustainable, inclusive growth by leveraging data, procurement, policy, and investment to scale for-benefit business models in the developing world, with a focus on strengthening the resilience and sustainability of West Africa’s cocoa sector.
The Fourth Sector 2030 Initiative aims to foster: • At-scale market-based solutions across all the SDGs in developing countries. • Improved livelihoods of cocoa farmers and workers while promoting environmental sustainability in West Africa’s cocoa industry. These objectives will be accomplished through three overarching activities: (1) classification system and ecosystem mapping; (2) guidance for business, government, and investors (3) knowledge transfer and adoption.

Clean Cooking Alliance
The implementation of the Market Strengthening program aims to develop a credible pipeline of sustainable, scalable, investable clean cooking businesses that are able to attract capital to scale and replicate, accelerating the transition to cleaner cooking technologies that meet consumers’ needs. The four-year project will help to build a stronger, sustainable clean cooking sector while supporting the Government of the Netherlands deliver on its goal to increase access to renewable energy globally. The program will focus primarily on strengthening markets in East and West Africa.
1. Increased pipeline of investment-ready businesses (Venture Catalyst); 2. Improved enabling environment for clean cooking industry growth (Market Catalyst); and 3. Increased consumer demand for clean cooking (Demand Catalyst)
