English and Digital for Girls' Education (EDGE)
English and Digital for Girls’ Education (EDGE) is one of the components of VSO’s wider Sisters for Sisters' Education II (SfSE-II) project funded by DFID’s Girls’ Education Challenge Transition Window (GEC T). The component focuses on enhancing participants' English proficiency, digital skills and social / life skills; all key skills which have been identified as lacking in the labour market in South Asia and which will support girls to transition out of secondary school into employment, further study or livelihoods.

European Union (EU)- Nepal Practical Partnership for Technical Vocational education and Training Reform (TVET PP)
Dakchyata is a skills development programme, bringing together government, employers, and technical and vocational training professionals, across the agriculture, construction and tourism industries to develop a TVET system more responsive to labour market needs and create greater opportunities for public investment to go further.
The overall objective is to support in improved governance and coordination of the diverse range of voices within Nepal’s TVET sector so that there is more effective and unified approach to strengthening employment. Likewise, encouraging employer engagement in decision making within Nepal's TVET sector so that businesses are able to plan for growth better. A specific objective is piloting of public-private partnerships (PPPs) and therefore facilitating shared sectoral intelligence, learning and innovation. Finally, creating greater understanding and visibility of TVET to fulfill its potential as a viable career option for young people and a critical element of Nepal's future prosperity.
Dakchyata works with range of stakeholders to achieve these objectives, primarily: employers, government, technical and vocational training professionals, public and private training providers, employers associations and young people.

Road to COP26 compromises of a series of exchanges between the UK and Nepal leading up to the next UN Climate Change Conference (COP26) in Glasgow, Scotland. The conference is scheduled for November 2021. Exchanges concern capacity building of women journalists to support stronger coverage of intersectional issue of gender and climate change; discussions with women leaders on climate change to extend their voice and agency in issue-based dialogue and decision-making by sharing their perspective through creative, mass media platforms and finally, work with youth innovators where potential creative solutions for supporting Nepal’s climate change resilience is incubated and mentored by a UK-Nepal academic partnership. All project activities lead to the creation of original multi-media content will be used to engage key stakeholders of climate change response in Nepal. And a delegation of beneficiaries will be curated to support independent collateral engagements around the COP26 event produced with support from UK partners and the British Council UK offices
"- Raise profile of climate change responses in Nepal, across the globe and at COP 26 - Raise awareness of climate change responses in Nepal, to support proactive initiatives of an increasingly globalized set of actors - Support greater recognition of UK strength in higher education related to climate and renewable energy by Nepali policy makers and practitioners. - Create platforms to promote women’s role as climate agents of change."
Primary target groups are youth innovators, journalists and women leaders from diverse backgrounds. Communication of project impact will concern governmental and non-governmental organisations working in climate change in Nepal,
